Educational Opportunities
Church School
St. Andrew Orthodox Church School began meeting on Saturdays to better accommodate the current Coronavirus restrictions. The preschool and elementary school program is led by Hilary Arcuri, a veteran homeschooler and mother of 5 children.
The Church School year begins in early September (the Feast of the Nativity of the Theotokos) and runs until the close of the public school year in May.
Choir
The St. Andrew Choir is led by Khouria Jeanette. New members are welcome! Contact Kh. Jeanette at [email protected] for information on practice times.
Adult Education
We offer several adult education opportunities throughout the year for persons interested in becoming Orthodox, and for those wishing to enrich and grow in their knowledge and understanding of scripture, their faith and their relationship with God. Check the calendar for class times and topics. Have a request or suggestion for a class topic? Contact Fr. Tom.
Youth Group
The St. Andrew Youth Group is open to 6th to 12th graders to foster faith, friendships, and community and fun. Check the calendar for upcoming events.
The Relationship Project—NEW This Year!
We are delighted to be offering this three-part study for our 6th-12th grade students from Faithtree Ministries. The Relationship Project is a three-part series for church youth groups, designed to help kids explore questions like: What is our true identity?, What does it mean to be a child of God?, What is the true meaning of intimacy (close, healthy relationships)?, and What does the Church say about good mental health?
This program from Faithtree Ministries provides extensive support for group leaders to help “create a safe space for your teens to wrestle with the possible differences between what the world may suggest, versus what the Church teaches as truth”. Read more here.
We are currently putting together groups for the summer and fall of 2021. Contact Alison Morris for information on joining.
If you/your teens are interested, but not able to join a current session, we do plan to offer this series at least once a year, based on parish interest.
